How to use it
Paste or type your description. The counter shows the characters used and left, and warns you if you go over or if it looks like it contains a web address.
Nothing you type leaves your browser.
What to write
- Say what you are and what you serve, early. Lead with the plain description, such as a family-run cafe with specialty coffee. Put the detail that makes you different next.
- Keep it factual. Skip offers, prices and calls to action like "visit us today". Put them in posts and on your website.
- Leave out links and phone numbers. Google's guidelines say to keep them out. Your profile has fields for them.
- Don't stuff keywords. Write for a guest reading it, in plain words.
